Day one has been long. We arrived in  Buenos Aires at 7 am which was actually 5am EST. BA's longitude is east of the US so they are ahead of us time wise. Entering the country was very easy, however they are very strick on the entry fee and we had to show proof that we had paid it in advance several times during our trip. We had a car waiting for us to take us in to the city which I recommend doing. One less hassle. The cost was $60 for about a half hour ride. We are staying at a small, clean minimalist hotel in the center of BA. It is fine so far but AL hasn't started snoring yet. We have booked a trip to Uruguay for Friday, Sat. And Sun. And booked a flight to Mendoza for Monday. The exchange is  one dollar equals 8.5 pesos so the math has been a challenge. I quess knowing long division can be useful. We took a tourist bus around the city to get our bearings and will see more tomorrow. My vivofit reads 19073. I hope your reading this Kate.
