In Buenos aires I changed my US dollars into pesos. If you go to a bank you get an 8.5 exchange but on the black market you get a 13.5 exchange. There are little black market news stands everywhere all eager to change your money. I was told that this was because the Argentinians save US dollars and hide then in their houses. The peso is very unstable and the people don't trust the peso but the trust the US dollar. Also there are long lines at all the banks. The banks are also places to pay bills so everyone goes there. On line banking is not popular. People going to Argentina should bring as much cash as they can. Using your credit card only gets you an 8.5 exchange.
Do you have my sunglasses?" "No I gave them to you last night." "Are you sure?" "Yes, I put them in your hand." "Really?" "Yes really" "I must have packed them in my suitcase.......no not there. Maybe my backpack......no not there. maybe my pocketbook............I have a system......oh there they are."
AL has requested equal time. My son Ryan believes there is another side to these stories. He knows me.
